What is love, but a 4 lettered word?
What is love, but a force undeterred?
Just one syllable, just four letters,
Much like hate, and not much better.
What mystique, to captivate a soul,
Not partial, but complete and whole.
The chance of a love true, so bleak,
But against it, powerless and weak.
Unstoppable,
Untameable,
Still sweet all the same,
This holiest of scapegoats, upon which lays the blame!
Search if you dare to try,
But be prepared to break down and cry.
It may not be bad, dare I say,
But as for I, I'll try an stay away.
